3 New UFO’s have been sighted travelling the Interstellar Highways!

3 New UFO’s have been sighted, though they are mysterious, fear not dear Rabbiteers! They come in Peace! Aaaaaand at rock bottom prices!

Developed as something of a Beginner craft for new players, the UFO series of Spacecraft has been instrumental in flattening out the Learning Curve. Encouraging new pilots to stick around by eliminating that pesky Gravity factor using our patented Polyspice EZ Engine!

These 3 are our newest iteration of UFO spacecraft.

Starter UFO

Your Starter UFO doesn’t look like a lot anymore, but in the past it’s served faithfully as a training vehicle for new pilots. It’s easy to fly, easy to afford, and has great fuel efficiency.

It once had both cushioned seats AND air conditioning, but the flight instructor ripped it all out after finding a trainee canoodling with his daughter. His ability to trust never fully recovered from the betrayal, much like the ability to swallow for the trainee.

Classic! UFO’s

Next up, is a UFO right and true. It looks like it flew straight out of a hysterically bad 1950’s Sci Fi… The Classic! UFO’s like these have seen steady use by extraterrestrials over the years owing to their simple controls and no nonsense aesthetic. At only a Thousand Spacebucks, this will be a great Day One purchase for any Rabbiteer!

UFO next up

The still of the night
Undisturbed
Rabbits are rescued
Unharmed
Make big Spacebucks
I will!

Okay okay I’ll drop the Haiku. This sleek and shiny looking UFO was built for *REDACTED* missions by *REDACTED* Space Ninjas!

Life of Martin

life of Martin

Martin was musically inclined from the start, and his love of music has permeated across his existence along with his fondness for the ridiculous. In fact, like most men of comedy, if you were to bisect him into two equally sized Martins, both would be bleeding profusely and you’d probably go to jail.

But if you were to simply poke him with a needle, and stuck your ear up to it, you’d hear a bunch of undiagnosed cartoon cancer cells performing Folk Punk music. Such is his love, such is his passion, and he really should see a doctor about that.

An artist through and through, he’s also quite a talented voice actor. I’ve heard some of his work and I must say, he’s gifted at granting both humor and credibility to a character. He truly is an unparalleled genius when it comes to pretending to be an idiot. He has the makings of a great American Politician should he ever decide to cross the pond.

To be serious for a minute, Martin gave me really brilliant information on his career for this Bio, and I hope to share some of it here.
First off, he was inspired early by a band called the Levellers. They’re not exactly mainstream, which I suppose automatically gives them some Hipster Credibility. One lyric resonated with his pimply teenage mind “There’s only one way of life and that’s your own” and with that a fanatic was born. He’s seen them live multiple times since then, and even got to briefly meet their Lead Singer once!

Next, Martin’s own musical adventures in his own band went through several pronounced phases. First off was a Punk Rock type band, which saw some airtime on BBC RADIO 1… At about 4AM when only the real freakshows were awake to hear it. Still it was a great success for a small punk act and Martin was thrilled with this early taste of musical acclaim.

Then it became all about “Fast, frantic, folk-punk” which actually sounds very compelling to me, and later became even more of a Folk act as time wore on. Not that this hurt their performance one bit! He told of this beautiful moment when the band was originally booked to play a gig as their Punk incarnation, but showed up to play as their later Folk influenced incarnation. Despite initially being full of rather skeptical hardcore punkers, Martin’s band managed to slowly win over the room with their music until everybody was dancing and having a grand old time.

He wrote so as to capture some beautiful moments, eloquently enough that I’d like to share one of his stories Verbatim on here sometime. Though I decided to leave that option open for later down the road for brevity’s sake.

All of this comes together to form somebody I’m glad we have working with us, with versatile talents and no small skill as a writer himself. I present to ye, Mr Martin Whiskin.

Recommended Game – Battle Chef Brigade Deluxe

Introduction

Battle Chef Brigade Deluxe is a highly unique cooking game. It was originally released for Nintendo Switch and PC in 2017 as just Battle Chef Brigade. Before eventually being expanded on into its current version with several new modes and the added title of Deluxe. It remains to this day one of the most unique indie games that I’ve ever played. It’s unfortunate that more people haven’t heard about it. I suppose that’s the benefit of writing for a site like Polyspice. I get a chance to recommend a neat little side dish like this.

Battle Chef Brigade Deluxe is – in the simplest of terms – a combination of a side-scrolling beat-em-up, platforming, cooking, and match-three gameplay elements. It might sound intimidating or like too much to handle. But I can assure you that it plays like a dream. Once you get used to the controls, you’ll be eagerly slicing and dicing your way through fantastical beast galore in order to assemble gorgeous looking gourmet meals.

I barely even care that that egg yolk is also an eyeball, that looks delicious.
I barely even care that that egg yolk is also an eyeball, that looks delicious.

You play as Mina, a small-town cook working at her family restaurant who runs away from it all to accept an attempt to join the Battle Chef Brigade.  Most of the plat after that is twists and turns that I’d rather not spoil here. But it’s a largely light affair. The story smartly never compromises the gameplay and keeps it safe with cooking challenge after cooking challenge. Making sure to take the time to characterize your opponents in the time between the matches. While also allowing the difficulty to gently curve upwards at a reasonable pace.

Gameplay

In the average battle, you have several judges who want certain flavors emphasized in the dish you serve to them. And each ingredient that you collect from different enemies has different levels of three different types of flavor. All with their own set color. You mix the ingredients into the meal as necessary in order to match the general flavor profile the judge wants. And the rest of the details are up to you.

The dev team really wanted to make a cooking game that encouraged creativity, rather than forced you to strictly follow recipes as many other games do. Battle Chef Brigade shines once you realize that you can basically just do what you want. And as long as you do it well, you’ll succeed. Even if you fail a cooking challenge, most of them are only a few minutes long. As so retrying steals little time from you. And every failure teaches you a little more about how to play the game more optimally.

Elements

There are multiple elements and items added to the gameplay the course of the story that builds on the established mechanics quite well and added at a reasonable pace so that the gameplay doesn’t get too repetitive. Things like fragile ingredients and removing bones from meat, all-natural things for a chef to consider that makes the experience that little bit more skill-testing and immersive.

What also helps the gameplay expand from it’s already solid core concept is the simple but strong customization system. Different types of cookware, spices, and stat-changing gear can be equipped between matches in order to sway the odds in your favor or alter the playstyle more to your liking. It’s a system that provides depth to whatever you decide you want your playstyle to be without being too alienating with it’s depth.

Graphics and Content

Then of course there’s the aesthetic of the game. Battle Chef Brigade Deluxe was inspired by the works of developer Vanillaware, such as Odin Sphere and Muramasa: The Demon Blade. This all shows in both the fantastical setting and beat-em-up elements, as well as the graphics. The visuals are all hand-drawn with an anime-inspired look loaded with both bright and soft colors and loads of memorable and diverse character designs. The animation itself might be rather minimal, but it’s mostly forgivable due to how expressive the art is by itself, held up additionally by the fantastic voice acting and solid soundtrack.

For $20 on all platforms Battle Chef Brigade Deluxe also offers a solid amount of content. On top of the roughly 12 hour long story mode, there’s also a local multiplayer mode, daily challenges with online leaderboards, free play mode, a mode similar to “Break the Targets” from the Super Smash Bros. series. It’s a great big buffet of a game with a one time fee, which is the best type of game and buffet.

Conclusion

There is not much that Battle Chef Brigade Deluxe does that I can criticize. The story could have been a bit more fleshed out in certain places, and some additional animations and characters to play as would be nice. But aside from that there is a lot here to love. It is a serious value for money, addictively fun, and still now wholly unique among both puzzle and cooking games.

Playing a game like Battle Chef Brigade is like taking a break from your favorite restaurants that you normally order from to try out a weird new food-truck. Perhaps it isn’t as familiar to you as your other typical meals. But sometimes it’s good to try new things and experiment because you might find something new to love. Battle Chef Brigade Deluxe is available now for PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.

Recommended Game – Dr. Mario World

Dr. Mario World is the mobile version of the classic Nintendo game Dr. Mario which was originally released in 1990 for NES. The original game featured Mario in a doctor’s jacket dropping color-coded capsules to eliminate viruses. Dr. Mario essentially combined the popular hit Tetris with Sega’s colorful Columns into a fun puzzle game that is still well regarded in Nintendo’s history.

Characters

The gang’s all here! Dr. Peach, Dr. Bowser, and others have all gone to medical school to be featured as doctors. Supporting Mario Bros. characters are your assistants in the game like Goomba, Koopa Troopa, and Buzzy Beetle. Each doctor has a unique power up that will help you clear those pesky viruses while assistants help the doctors with additional skills and boosts.

Campaign and Versus Modes

Travel through various worlds in the campaign and beat each level to unlock the next. Struggling with a level? Ask your friends for hearts to give you more chances. Earn three stars on each level and unlock a bonus level! If you get tired of the campaign, try Versus mode. Battle your friends or random players across the world in a head-to-head challenge without using hearts. Each doctor has a unique Versus skill that can turn up the heat on your opponent. Survive the longest and you will win the round!

Controls

  • Match capsules with viruses and watch them disappear! Simply match three objects of the same color vertically or horizontally to clear them.
  • Luckily, Dr. Mario and friends have virus-busting skills. Use leftover half-capsules to strategically zero in on especially meddlesome viruses.
  • Take your time, because each puzzling configuration of viruses must be cleared using a limited number of capsules. Keep calm to plan your approach, and you’ll rid Dr. Mario’s world of viruses in no time!

Download Dr. Mario World for free in the Apple App Store and Google Play. In-app purchases available to progress in the game faster, but thankfully no pop-up ads!

Final Analysis

As a fan of the original game on NES, Dr. Mario World is a fun modern adaptation that I’ll be keeping on my phone. 5/5 rating.

Recommended Game – Quest Town Saga

Quest Town Saga is a triple threat. Why? Well do you like RPGs? Do you like town building games? Do you like monster collecting? Well this game has all three. That’s why I enjoyed playing Quest Town Saga. Personally I enjoy pixel games. If you do too then that’s also a plus. If your liking what your hearing about this game so far then you should know that this game is free on the Google Play Store.

Story

So in this game a town was destroyed by monsters. Your job is to rebuild it to its former glory. A town that will have people and monsters co-exist peacefully.

Gameplay

After picking your adventurers class you will be able to start doing quests. Quests are pretty straight forward. You walk around an area fighting monsters and collecting treasure. At the end of every quest there is a boss battle. After boss battles a monster will appear and say it wants to join you on your journey. Then you will be able to take that monster with you on your next quest to fight by your side. The money you find in chests during quests can be used to buy better weapons and armor. More importantly money can be spent to build houses and other buildings for your growing town. After completing a hand full of quest you gain the ability to fuse monsters. When you fuse monsters together you get a choice of three strong end result monsters to choose from.

Tips and Tricks

If you still need that extra kick in battles then you can add other players to your party too. I recommend doing this because although the first couple of quest are easy it suddenly gets harder. Also if you can find someone to add to your party that has a ranged attack you should definitely add them. Doing so will let you last longer in the battle field as ranged attackers will less likely to be hit by enemy attacks. You can always be the ranged attacker too if you prefer it that way. Another tip is to make sure you are aware of the amount of space you have for monsters. Remember: You dont gotta catch ’em all. To make space you can fuse monsters or just flat out reject a monster from joining you. Also be sure to explore every corner of the quest area for treasure chest. It may be easier to just run through an area and go straight to the boss but doing so may have you miss out on generous treasure chests. If you encounter a group of enemies they are usually protecting one or more treasure chests.

I’m recommending this game because I love RPGs. Especially if the RPG involves catching monsters. Always have and always will. And like I mentioned earlier i love pixelated games too. This has everything i would want in a RPG. You should definitely consider trying this game out. I highly recommend playing this game. Don’t forget its free in the Google Play Store. So download it now. You wont regret it.
